Monaco Monte-Carlo station
Monaco Monte-Carlo station is built inside the hillside. Its exits come out at different heights, so the right one can save you a steep climb, especially with luggage.
An underground station
The platforms are underground, and long passages lead to the exits. The station lifts take you up to Boulevard Princesse Charlotte, other exits come out near Place Sainte-Dévote, and a long passage leads towards Fontvieille and the Rock. Follow the signs inside for the exit you want.
Which exit?
That depends on where you’re staying. Tap Just arrived? in the app, choose By train, and enter your hotel or address. The app picks the easiest exit and gives you the route from there, using lifts where it can.
Getting here
- From Nice airport, walk about 7 minutes from Terminal 1 to Nice Saint-Augustin station (from Terminal 2, take the free tram one stop). Trains to Monaco Monte-Carlo usually run every 15 minutes through the day and take about 35 minutes.
- Evening and Sunday trains can be thinner, so check the SNCF Connect app for live times.
- There’s a taxi rank at the station, open 24 hours.
The station lifts have been out of service in the past. If they are, ask station staff for the step-free way out.
